At Nexus we have a dedicated team of trustees that are focused on supporting the great work being delivered by the team. Initially setup as a community project with a 2 year budget, we soon realised that there is a need in Highworth and we should grow to provide the youth of Highworth a great place to call their own. In late 2016 we took the step of registering Nexus with the Charities Commission.
The Trustees:
Nick Gardiner - Chair of trustees
As a member of Highworth Community Partnership Group (HCPG) and a Town Councillor, Nick was involved in the
original launch of Nexus and is keen to see project grow. Highworth needed to provide more for our children to do
and Nexus is giving kids 11-16 yrs a space to call their own.
Ruth Coughlin - Treasurer
Linda Ashford - Trustee
known as 'Lou' she heads up our fund raising. She is also our contact with local churches being a member of Highworth
Methodist Church. She firmly believes in what Nexus is about and is full of admiration for Charlie, Rosie and all the
volunteers and the amazing work they are doing to influence for good, the lives of so many young people.
Laura Gichohi - Trustee
Sarah Crisp - Trustee
Sarah has had previous connections with the Highworth community mainly through 1st Highworth Scouts and after
recently relocating back to the town was looking for a new project to get involved with. Sarah has a background as a
Nursery Nurse with children under five but was looking for a different age group to work with on a voluntary basis.
Sarah is keen to get involved at this time and looks forward to seeing the project grow and develop.
